How Your Cognitive Fitness Score Works

Your Cognitive Fitness Score is a personal wellness benchmark. This page explains what the score is, how it is calculated, and what it is not.

Important Notice

Cognitive Fitness Score™ is a personal wellness benchmark intended for educational and self-tracking purposes. It is not an IQ test, medical assessment, diagnosis, or measure of cognitive ability.

What the Score Is

Your Cognitive Fitness Score is a personal fitness benchmark, similar in concept to a resting heart rate or VO2 max score in physical fitness. It reflects how you are currently performing on cognitive exercise tasks relative to your own personal baseline.

Your Cognitive Fitness Score runs from 0 to 1000, shown to the single point, and sits in one of four bands: Building, Solid, Sharp, and Peak. Until all five areas have at least one session, the score is provisional. Higher scores reflect better task performance across the five areas at the time of measurement. The score is designed to move with regular training. It is not a fixed number.

What Affects the Score

Your score is calculated from your exercise results across five areas:

Memory

Abstract Card Match, Cryptographic Decoy, Orbit Recall

Attention

Core Vortex Tracer, Phantom Projection, Signal Isolation, Vector Distraction, Velocity Burst

Speed

Ordinal Sweep, Rapid Grid Match, Step-Math Progressions

Flexibility

Chain Shift, Layout Collapse, Origami Shadow, Spectrum Sync

Logic

Logic Grid Deduction, Nonogram Logic Art, Pattern Sequence, Sudoku Matrix

The five areas do not contribute equally. Logic counts for 30%, Memory, Attention and Speed for 20% each, and Flexibility for 10%. Areas you have not trained yet are left out and the remaining weights are spread across the ones you have, so an untouched area never counts against you. Within each area, your score is the weighted average of your recent session results, factoring in accuracy, response latency, and sequence complexity where applicable.

Consistency and training frequency matter. The score updates each time you complete an exercise session. Gaps in training will cause your score to stabilize at its last measured value; it does not automatically decay.

What the Score Is NOT

This is not an IQ score or an estimate of intelligence.

This is not a clinical measure or diagnostic tool for any medical condition.

This is not a psychological or neurological assessment.

This is not a measure of memory impairment, cognitive decline, or any health condition.

This has not been validated against clinical population norms.

Score Range Context

Score ranges should be interpreted as training progress indicators, not as ratings of cognitive ability. The cut-offs below are provisional and will be re-set against real member results:

0-329

Building

Your baseline is forming.

330-579

Solid

Consistent performance across your training.

580-799

Sharp

Strong and well-practiced performance.

800-1000

Peak

The top band.

How to Improve Your Score

Scores are designed to change with regular training. The most reliable way to improve your Cognitive Fitness Score is:

  • 1Train consistently: 3 to 5 sessions per week produces the most stable improvement.
  • 2Target your weakest area: Lab identifies your focus area and recommends exercises accordingly.
  • 3Complete full sessions: partial sessions contribute less weight to area averages.
  • 4Track your streaks: consistency compounds. A 7-day streak strengthens all area averages.
